18 months ago, the floor pieces of my master shower were moving, squishing underfoot. Contractor told me he could repair and took out bottom of shower floor only, replaced and it. 5 months later water came through the ceiling downstairs from the upstairs masterbath. Clearly, he had damaged the showerpan. He then cut up the side of the marble slab about 4 inches, hot mopped and built new shower pan. This held for aobut 6 months until water came puring out of ceiling below again! I love my bathrrom and dont want to redo/gut it for 50k. Can this leak be repaired by cutting 12-18 inches up the marble slabs, hot mopping and rebuilding shower pan, matching marble somehow?
