You have rust brick, dark grey roof, white window trim. Now you are adding either a wood door or black door. Nothing is pulled together. Try a charcoal door.

As I mentioned, the roof, lanterns and railing will be changed. I'd like to find a door color I like a d coordinate the rest accordingly.

i love the welcoming look of the turquoise colored door, the way it was. The other colors are too dark, and looks cold and unwelcoming.

You need a master plan. The roof is the largest item and will probably be on the house the longest. Next would be the railings followed by the door colour and lanterns. Let's say you want to switch the roof to green--think in terms of green and rust to decide what colour for the rails, lanterns and door.

If you want to paint the door now and then change it when the roof is redone---yes, on second thought, a bright light door such as the robins egg blue or turquoise or pale green. My personal taste, note I say 'my', is a wood door doesn't belong on a house where all the other wood components are painted. And I really really like the door you posted but not on your house.

I know it’s a new home and you want to personalize it, but think you’re doing it a bit backwards. I’d Keith’s door now - experiment with paint if you want. But like Rho says, the roof is a big ticket item and will kind of dictate the other changes. Congratulations on your home - it’s very nice looking!
