Orepac is a distributor from what I can tell. They prehang and distribute Builders Choice and Rogue Valley doors.

You are correct. Our quote was for Builders Choice. Have you had any experience with these doors?

Not directly but they look pretty inexpensive on the Home Depot site, so for me that may lead me away from them. Would definitely not buy any millwork from a box store, only a true local lumberyard or window and door store.

Which doors did you decide on? I received a quote from my local lumber yard Golden State Lumber and noticed it’s the same company, Orepac Builder’s Choice that Home Depot carries. The lumberyard sales person said theirs is better quality than Home Depot since companies manufacture for Home Depot differently, not sure if I trust that since he's never seen the Home Depot door to compare. I initially bought the shaker one panel doors from Home Depot but the contractor didn't like them because the door was rubbing against the jam and not fulling opening. I’m hesitant to order now, fearing it‘s the exact same door.

The doors are exactly the same, that is BS he is laying on you. Box Stores "may" have them use a different jamb and hinge, but the door is the same. Golden State Lumber is typically a reputable lumberyard, this may be a case of a newish employee trying to sound like he know what he is talking about, but definitely BS
