Bold colors call for bold curtains. Too much??

Celery beat me to it. Definitely a natural linen color drape. They will tie in beautifully with your floors and accent your wall color - not fight it.

Nice colors. For drapes though, maybe off white as Celery suggested. However, If you really want to torture yourself, go to the Spoonflower website where they sell fabric and home goods like drapery, table linens, throw pillows and comforter covers. You can buy fabric samples to put near/on sofa/colored wall and try to visualize fabric drapery with some amazing prints. The filtering feature allows you to search by print styles/colors to help avoid totall overwhem. :-)

You already have two strong (and very likely clashing) colors in the teal sofa and red walls. Everything else should be neutral, except for finding ways for these two strong colors to coexist. Paint is easy to fix though!

That's a very bold and dramatic color combination. What is your overall plan for the space? Do you have something in mind that would tie the colors together--a pillow, rug, etc.? If not, I think @etjost idea is a good one--those curtains definitely bring the two colors together. Why wimp out and do neutral curtains, I say go bold or go home!

What are the other elements your using the in the room?

Are you using an area rug? Is there color in your lamps? Art?

I think your need to start posting what other elements your want in this room.

Pick drapes last.

Way back in the 80’s I painted my bedroom in a similar color. My bedding was an overall print with including a watered down shade close to walls. I felt like I was living in a clay pot. When painting to sell we went to 3 coats of white lol. Enjoy strong colors while you like them I do love your sofa color.

I’m excited to see someone using Red Earth, especially on this color phobic board. I did a terra cotta color in the LR of my first house, loved it.

I agree with everyone — neutral or bold, solid or patterned, whatever you like.

I like the addition of lime green above. Maybe use that in the curtain (or rug) pattern.

with the rich colors of the walls and sofa, I think your curtain choice is perfect to tie it all together.

@Jinx showed you how to lean into the color scheme. Or you can go neutral as other have said, but the stronger curtain fabrics seem to “continue the story” a lot better.

I agree, Red. I’m loving the bold ones. I think the two Layne ones are my favorite.

I do like the solid terra cotta ones a lot, too.

Right now you two walls of each color, you want a teal sofa, but are you getting an area rug? Do you have art?

Like I posted before, if you don't post all info, it is very hard for posters to just give you advice.

My 2 cents. All four walls in the earth color, to me anyway is luxurious.

I do disagree that curtains should be chosen last. You should have an overall plan before you buy anything, but the most colorful and highly patterned piece should be chosen first. Then you can add accent pieces. So, for example, if you choose curtains like "soaring starlings," then you can choose a more subdued/solid rug. But if you chose a rug with lots of colors and a busier pattern, then you choose the curtains last. There's no hard and fast rule, anything can serve as a "lead piece," whether it's curtains, rugs, upholstery or even a small pillow.

Sorry I got wiped out with COVID recently and then been on a short break.

Have found some samples mostly neutral, some with subtle Patten's in...waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully next day or so.

I normally like linen curtains, but with your color combination and especially style of couch, I really like your last choice. Make sure to incorporate impactful, fun accessories.

I think all would work fine, I like the last three best. The last one is beautiful. I think they’d look fantastic and lush.

Sorry haven't got back. My partner then had covid plus other life events...

But we have decided were likely go for the second from bottom (trees). Just got to order it.
