This homeowner loved her 80s solid surface countertops and enthusiastically welcomed Corian's "witch hazel" color selection for her new kitchen counters. We got rid of the dated look of the "bullnose edge" you see in the "BEFORE" picture - and opted for a simple eased edge. She loved the idea of the "waterfall" edge at the peninsula (which is simply the terminology for bringing the countertop down to the floor at the side of the cabinet.) It was fun to work with Corian again! Most clients prefer stone counters these days, but there's a great deal of value with Corian -- and it's seamless installation is quite nice, too.

We re-used the Miele wall oven in this kitchen, and you can see I moved it to below-counter/below new induction cooktop. Adding a glass backsplash, and opening up the space around the hood helped create a more important and artful focal point for the kitchen as well. Other features include improved space and storage planning, updated lighting, new energy star appliances, cabinetry with useful storage devices, and water saving plumbing fixtures
