The brush killer formula - or any herbicide with triclopyr as the active ingredient - will work much better on any woody based plant material than just glyphosate on its own.

Ah, that's a pity. Wonder what it is about poison ivy that glyphosate can't deal with. Interestingly, triclopr actually won't kill grass. Glyphosate will lay waste to grasses. I hear that glyphosate can be somewhat effective on poison ivy, but it may take weeks.

by regular RU do you mean premixed.. or undiluted ...?? ..

what is the plus in RU plus? .. a surfacant???

I have no idea what the "Plus" means. That's what is sold these days. I use concentrate, with the prescribed dilution for spraying.

RU Plus has diquat added. Diquat will have little to no effect on poison ivy. And plain old RU that is just glyphosate is also still very widely sold.
