I think we need to know what you need from blinds. I like solar shades for heat and light control and daytime privacy but they let you keep the view . I use them with drapes in spaces where nightime privacy is needed like your bedroom. The solar shades are not expensive and IMO so much nicer than heavy blinds that block the view .

Look at the local real estate site and see what other homes for sale at your price point have. When it comes time to sell that's what you're going to be competing with. Do you have a nice view out of those windows that you want to be able to see in daylight, or would it be better to have the view obscured at all times?
