I don't know if the police would even make a "report". But I would call the police and tell them what you think happened, and let them know you don't feel safe, due to the nefarious nature of what happened.

I don't like what happened, and it is certainly not right, but, at least where I live, the police really aren't going to do much to help you. I think they might just call it a "contract" dispute and say it's a private/civil matter. You aren't out much money. You're not hurt physically (though I bet you're scared). I'm sorry, so so sorry this happened to you.

The more worried I was for my own safety, the more likely I would be to contact the police. That's all I can say. I hope your house is secure. It surely sounds to me like that crew will move on to their next drug deal.

Perhaps you can get a friend to let you stay over tonight, and in the morning, beef up your security, and don't hire people like that ever again. Perhaps get a barking dog.

Calling the police is not going to do anything. The only crime that has (maybe) been committed is a drug deal you think you saw, and I assure you no police department is going to follow up on "someone maybe sold some meth at this location several hours ago". They're also not going to stand guard outside your house overnight because you had contact with a somewhat shady dude earlier in the day. I understand your discomfort but a) it will probably be fine and b) if you are freaked out by imagining this guy coming back in the evening see if you can get a friend to sleep over.

Ok thanks. My friend told me the same thing - police will do nothing. I will beef up my security and remain true to my word to the owner and let him deal with his wayward brother.
