Can we see the whole area next to this ? Do you really need a bar ?Waht is in the space with the nook . Maybe a to scale floor plan too. I honestly never like this type of bar in my LR so I need more info.

to moody up the cabinet wall.

Consider painting the bar cabinetry a color complimentary with your decor and update countertop. Goodness all that dark crown molding. I’m sure you’ll have fun decorating to make it your own and will be lovely.

I would paint it all out. Paint the ceiling crown and baseboards white, then find a taupe-y beige for the bar cabinets, assuming you don't want to change the counters. If you're open to changing the stone on the counters, you can go with any color you like.

Jbella2012, yes cabinetry can certainly be painted. Just like folks are doing with their kitchen cabinets, hire a reputable cabinet painter.

The faux stone in the entry could be replaced with a nice wood console or cabinet. The bar counter and flooring clash with each other. Is the bar cabinet counter different from the sink counter material? I would add doors to the upper shelving rather than have the bottles on display. I would definitely add some art or framed posters on the bare walls.

If you’re keeping the stone counter, painting all the wood a deep grey (whichever looks like the one in the countertop) will make your glassware look prettier. I would consider shopping at stone yards for a different stone.
OR - paint the bar navy blue and change the countertop to a beautiful walnut piece.

In the entryway, can you take that faux stone thing down? Do you know if the floor goes under it? And if. OT, do you have more of it to fill in? You do not have to live with that.

No, it seems like the floor stops at that stone. And sadly no more of that floor, so more costs there. Im not opposed to changing the granite countertop because I do not like it.

@Jilly I like the copper countertops!! Our painters are coming over this week and I will have him look at the cabinets. I may try to do a sage green?? Im changing my

formal living room furniture bc too large for space and will lean toward fabric colors to compliment the green.

I love sage! But I like the color they are now; I think it looks cohesive within the room.

I think copper or wood counters would integrate it more into the room, instead of looking like a little kitchen.

Seeing this latest view, disregard my suggestions of pendants and wallpaper (or paint different from living area). I don’t think those additions would look best.

No suggestions, but I think it could be really beautiful and function if you drink or entertain. Is there an under counter frig or ice maker? That would be really handy. Maybe incorporate some wine storage too.

Noooo! And I’m so sad about that! There should be a fridge or ice maker. Trying to figure out how to make that happen since cabinets are already finished.
