you'll also need to post your zone or city where you live

do you want to remove all of that concrete?

what would you like to see? any ideas?

Hi Beth. I live in Fayetteville, Georgia.

The concrete is part of the driveway. So we are hoping to workaround it.

My question would be how do you plan to use the space? Since it has a separate entry would a little outdoor seating space be used?..as is the little roof looks awkward… and make create a challenge for water flow when it rains…ideally it could be lower so it so it does not interrupt the roof line…. the most obvious would be to disguise the meters with either plantings or a little fencing… and create a walkway to the cemented area

The other question is ….do you have direct access from the house interior …into this space…and since you are calling this a bedroom…is there access from the main house into this room?

Yes. We will have access to this space through the main house as well. The little outdoor space is too small to have a chair on.

I like the idea of disguising the water meter! Do you have any other ideas about the areas?

Most importantly it is not clear why you have even added the second entrance…the door opening is too narrow , and the porch and porch cover are too narrow as well….it is also unclear if you are leaving the garbage cans in that area…and if they need to be incorporated in this plan….I don’t know if your build is done with a permit…but these incongruous features are likely to draw attention that may be troublesome

Thank you for your comments btydrvn but do you have any recommendation on the landscape?

We are going to move the trash cans

Looks like a great addition! I would rehome the shrub near the door. Create a walkway to the right of the door to exit that way maybe using stepping pavers. Clean up shrubbery area. Add some flowers.

Hello Jackowskib. I like the idea of repurposing the shrubs.

I'm not sure the current landscaping doesn't work. Isn't this meant to be a private entrance that you do not want strangers to knock at? To me, the shrubs are saying, "Stay out." Could we see how it looks in relation to the rest of the house/garden?

Hello Emmarene9, these are the only pictures I have at this time. I take your point about the private entry; however, the entry point is right in front of the driveway. So, it the entry is not too private ὠ6.

Hello Nickel_kg

Thanks for the idea. I love it!
