Sump pumps and radon mitigation

I am purchasing a new construction home and found out there are elevated radon levels. I plan on asking for the builder to pay for a mitigation system but wanted to make sure I am clear in my request. It was recommended (prehome inspection) that I check the sump pump to make sure it is working every month by hitting a button that cycles it, install a water powered back up sump pump and a dehumidifier that discharges water into the sump pump. From my internet research (whatever that is worth) it looks like once the mitigation system is installed you can’t/shouldn’t open it. Are there alternatives? Any suggestions? Thanks!
