WELL, you have already seen a better picture of Sparkling Giants. This is the 2nd planting I have of it, quite a bit taller than the other, but we are talking about 30". Not nearly the 44" expected.

Celtic Butterfly. This is one that I originally got as Blue Breasted Bee Eater. And she sent the replacement. I rather think that 3 fans might very well be Bbbe, one fan is bigger, and buds look completely different. I like this one quite well, very short right now but several new ones this year are short.

How did you come to have two plantings of Sparkling Giants? Don't ever expect anything from Floyd Cove to be as tall as registered. I usually mentally subtract 8-10 inches from whatever they say it is. My Sparkling Giants has scapes in the 20-inch range and bud counts of 4. I'd do a cartwheel if mine ever made it to 30 inches. It is still in a pot though. Perhaps it would fare better in the ground. I do think the bloom is striking, and yours seems to have better color than mine. Forty Days and Forty Nights looks good. Yours is blooming much earlier than mine will. That's a pretty photo of Clown Parade!

It will be interesting to see the blooms on Sparkling Giants when it settles in. The colors are so pretty. Your blooms really seem to be rapidly increasing!

The oldie Time Lord has always been appealing to me, I like it. and your Green Rainbow is a pretty one, Nancy.

Debra, when I got my box of daylily with Sparkling Giants, a fan was look in the box, and I was not sure which daylily it was with, so I planted the fan by itself. Thus, I ended up with it in 2 places, can't call either one a clump. Yours might do better in ground. I measured, and these 2 fans are both 29" tall. I don't need 44" anyway, although just a little but taller would not hurt. Not overwhelmed with buds, 10 and 11 though.

Kate, the are moving pretty fast. I had a few more blooms, forgot to take pictures of a couple, and a couple others were not worth taking. Shark Infested Waters was just a little splotchy, should have gotten that one.

Kay, few people mention Time Lord, but I really like it.

Celtic Butterfly and Clown Parade are my favorites today. We have Celtic Butterfly but it hasn't done much for us.

Sherry, definitely avoided Francois Verhaert and Crazy Ivan, they have always been very short scapes. Not sure I have ever heard anyone they have been normal. Westbourne Easter Egg Hunt has short scapes, but do get out of the foliage. Barely.

Nancy, I hope Celtic Butterfly does OK for me. The fans seem healthy, at least.

My Sparkling Giants is more like 23 inches tall. I would be happy if it ever reaches 29 inches.
