did you repot it.. does that pot drain ...

how do you water..

is it in full sun ... did you harden it off first...

I just got it a couple of days ago - I haven’t done anything to it other than water it once. The lady I bought it from said it had been on her back porch. I currently have it on my back porch. It’s covered, but gets bright indirect light all day.

Hillary, your Beaucarnea recurvata looks fairly healthy, but a recent stint of perhaps not enough light. I'd gradually introduce it to brighter light (full sun is best, but gradually avoids sunburn) and a repot into fresh soil (you can still use the same pot if you want.

Thanks so much for that information. It’s such a cool plant, I want to make sure I do right by it. I can definitely find a brighter spot I can slowly introduce it into, and repotting will be no problem.

Thanks so much!! I have one inside about that size that I think I’m watering too often based on your info! The one outside is probably about 5 feet tall, so I didn’t know if there was anything different I needed to do. Thanks for the info, I’m definitely going to use it!!
