Not yet, but I have ordered a small amount from a company called Love vs Design .com to try out. They have many patterns and you can customize each design with whatever colors you want.

I just used some from Anthro in my cabinets. I have ordered samples from Spoonflower too — quality seemed similar.

One wall in the LR? Do you want a large or small pattern, and what colors? I'm more than happy to shop for you since I've done so much of it already and taken it down. :)

I was suggesting bold graphic choices and got a thumbs down. I also actually loved some of the (believe it or not) vintage Barbie wall paper from Wallshoppe. (see below)

I thought it was perfectly fine for just one wall for 2 college girls (who love fashion) A little bit tongue in cheek.

So anyway, do you know what they both told me they love? Toile.

Toile?! I think this stems from a cute green and white toile 2pc dress one of my DD got in Medellin. It has a knee length skirt, and a halter top. It is adorable!

Anyway, they said toile and they also said they wanted the blue/orange/white theme in one of the Maine guest rooms.

I saw the Barbie wallpaper tonight and almost posted it here. I love it! I've taken down lots of wallpaper I'd put up in the past.

One suggestion which I learned the hard way. Not sure what the difference is between regular wallpaper and peel and stick, but when I had my bathroom papered (I hired out for it) it had a white background and the lady told me the seems will eventually show as time went by. I blew her off but she was right. :) Only because it had a white background.

Me again. :) Get a light coral or orange, I insist! The blue toile will make the room appear smaller/darker.

O.M.G. I'm looking at French toile paper, it's x-rated. I learn something new every day.

The orange and coral choices are not good; there is very little in orange and certainly not in toile. I've followed the "use light colors" rule for forever and I think it is only clearly true in the extremes (eg all walls all navy).

I guess I could ask them about this .. but it seems like a real risky choice!

Be still my heart— toile! I love the city toiles; if they are in or near a major city that would be a cute look. One southern company that makes them offers all the Lily Pulitzer type colors that would look great with the rug.

Sueb, IKR! that was one of two Barbie papers that I picked out! I loved the dresses on that one but I thought that the other, more crowded, one I showed above had better visual weight for a feature wall. I also loved the idea of the "Career Barbie" pattern but it wasn't pretty. I also liked their Barbie pink white and orange horizontal striped but I didn't even show them that option out of deference to our wallpaper-er, DH.

DDs liked it but one said "I don't want Barbie behind me when I'm on a Zoom call with XYZ (where she is doing a remote internship). Just swivel I said. :::eye roll :::

KSWL, how cute is that!? One of my DDs has a CHS BF but I think they'd prefer a Boston toile. I cannot find it in a removable wallpaper. Plus I think they realllllly like the old-fashioned toile scenes w trees etc.

Jinx, that is so pretty, and it has such nice movement. I should mention that, in describing their theme, the girls mentioned "Hermes" orange because, of course they did.

Here is my mock up of the planned feature wall in their apartment, using the toile.

It also has the rug in it though it is important to note that the feature wall is in the DR area and the rug will be on the other side of the sofa in the LR area, so the wall paper and rug are not next to each other.

Note to that the scale of the toile will be smaller.

DH said it was horrible LOL. Haven't shown the girls yet.

I love navy and heeeeermes orange! I think to really get a feel for how it will look though, you need to try to better represent the scale. Sorry but scale makes such a difference!

I didn't respond to the rug thread but i think it is a fun and interesting rug for young adults.. but that said, you may want to check it out on Overstock-- in the customer images with reviews, it looks much darker which, to me, is not as appealing as the product images. (sorry, i don't have a link open anymore but I found it when searching "bohemian rug orange blue")

I actually like the customer photos of the rug where it does look darker, eg below. Also helpful because their sofa is also off white duck.

I like the darker look, too. It’s a fun and lively rug, I think they’d enjoy it.

I agree-- those photos are much nicer than the ones I saw. It looks great-- as Jinx says, "Lively"! And as others have stated, i don't think you'll find anything with such a good vibe and low price!
