Deck damage due to door installation

I had a new sliding glass door put in and the contractors ruined my deck - had wet caulk on bottom of drop cloth that stained brand new deck. They are assuming responsibility for cost of replacing the damaged boards; however they are not from same lot and don’t match the rest of deck. Thoughts?

Not much you can do unfortunately. I may lived with the caulk as that would have wore off and looked better in the long run quite possibly. Those new boards will always be different.

They lost money on your job. Should have just flipped the boards over.

The caulk wasn’t coming up at all. My question is should they be covering cost to replace the entire deck due to this careless mistake?

Thinking on Joe's thought, if possible the original boards should have been flipped over. And no, he does not owe you a entirely new deck surface. I still stand by the fact that the caulk would have wore off in a couple months just from foot traffic if the boards were one sided and able to be flipped.
