Interesting apartment.

Nearly 60 year old kitchen in run down condition, dorm refrigerator, plastic tub surround. The rooms are the essence of what a lot of older apartments were here, at one time.

There's no bed in the bedroom, just a sofa bed.

I lived in 3 apartments in this complex.

Well, I think it's charming. I love how someone took the time and made the effort to lovingly decorate even a rundown old kitchen. They saw something worth celebrating in a space where many would cringe. That's cool.

I really like how they’ve decorated and use the space. My DD’s apt (1940’s) has that same kitchen flooring.

I’m in love with the old shutters!

The cabinets are metal and very sturdy. Most of them have been replaced or painted over. This was the kitchen in my second apartment before we bought it, when it was a rental. The original floors in all the kitchens were black streaky VCT.

Since the blue apt is obviously a pied a terre of some sort with no dedicated bed and a dorm fridge, I am sure the old kitchen serves its purpose as it is.

You know I love this one, even tho the blue is a tad off. I would never believe that this shot was from a 265k apt. still can't

The envelope is great, but the money shots here are really about the power of filling it with interesting contents.

I find it fascinating and enjoyable.

I love it. But not the wall color. I can see something bright and colorful for this apartment, I'm just not loving that shade of blue.

I don't care for the shade of blue either. It's like it's just a little bit "off", but I agree that it's the contents that makes the place special. This looks like the home of an interesting person or people.

I love it. Even the kitchen. I would kill for metal cabinets from the 50s-60s. The blue is a tad much, but I would take it as is, no complaints.

That kitchen does not bother me one iota. Update the appliances, and I am good.

The brown kitchen Pal posted, that would kill me.

As for the rest, it's lovely. The blue walls are too saturated for me, but that is of no matter.

I love that blue hall, too, Mtn. And the wee door, for the house elf?

I lived in an historical district home/second story apartment with a much worse kitchen. The slanted ceiling in there and the dining area really got to me after a while. Still, I lived there for five years. It was cheap so I saved a lot of money, enough to pay for a year of graduate school . . . but that is one home I've lived in I do not miss. I used to joke that the only thing worse than my landlady not fixing something was for her to send her sketchy handyman to fix it. It was eventually bought by a contractor and he fixed it up a lot. Not sure how well, they were in the midst of it when I moved out. The ventilation was problematic, they smoked and the smoke ended up in my apartment. That happens a lot in the older apartment buildings, in my experience. Would not want to live in a place like that in the time of rampant covid . . , or anything else nature has coming up the pike . . .

DD’s kitchen … green metal cabinets. (That’s my granddog next to her SO.)

The blue is a little bright, but I love the decor. Lots of interesting pieces.

Not a shade of the blue--well at least as it appears on my screen...but the rest of the place is charming w/personality plus

The wall color is my favorite part, but I also like the decorations. The kitchen reminds me of the one I had in Venice (CA), and it was very efficient. I would move the cabinet that is on casters to under the window, and then there should be room for a larger refrigerator. I've always wanted to have wall ovens, but so far I never have.

I would not stack books on the floor - that would make it more difficult to keep the floor clean, and I would not want to have to move that many books to access the ones on the bottom, but I guess it is good exercise.

I really like the blue, except on the kitchen ceiling. I like small efficient kitchens and when we lived in England ”american fridges” were not yet a thing and everyone had small under counter dorm like fridges. We had so much less food waste back then. The nostalgia vibe of this space is charming.

What is interesting about the kitchen ceiling is the new round light fixture, and rectangular of bare grey sooty unpainted drywall from behind the old fixture.

I thought that was a ceiling fan, lol

I would live there and happily- but the blue is off and quite jarring to me.

I think it is nice and the kitchen seems perfectly adequate, although I would fit a bigger fridge in there somehow. Or a second dorm fridge. Slap a piece of butcherblock across the two short fridges and I've totally fixed the kitchen!

On my monitor, and to me, it is a good blue.
