Debra I love Moon Shimmers! What a glorious edge…..it is different from what I see in my gardens so it caught my attention right away. Such scrumptious color on No Tomorrow. You definitely added some beauties last season.

Fighting Fire and Judy's Jewel catch my attention this time around!

I see that No Tomorrow has Palace Garden Beauty as a parent. I have always liked that one, and progeny that are slightly larger would be appealing.

Mantis - Palace Garden Beauty is actually a grandparent of No Tomorrow. No Tomorrow's parent is Henrietta McIntyre, which is out of Palace G. B. and Bella Sera. I'm still very fond of PGB.

Brad - Fighting Fire is always one of my favorites, but neither clump of mine is doing very well this year. I haven't watered them, and one of the clumps hasn't even scaped. The other has very short scapes and the heat has done a number on the foliage. The flowers are still pretty though. Judy's Jewel finally multiplied a bit, and it is having a pretty good season since it's close to the hose pipe.

Sherry - That edge on Moon Shimmers is a pretty thing. I bought it because of the edge to use in hybridizing. No Tomorrow really wowed me when I saw it this morning. It's even prettier - and bluer - in person.

No Tomorrow is just beautiful! I like the bright I Lava You. Princess Diary is pretty but I prefer Judy's Jewel There isn't anything i don't like about it and Porterhouse is a lovely red. Blood of the Martyrs is lovely and Fighting Fire trio is always a favorite. Lovely post, Debra.

Is Princess Diary a newer one for you? If not, how has it performed over the years (multiplicaiton, scape height, bud count, etc.)? I sent you a message, but not sure you are set up anymore.

Porterhouse is a pretty color. I like the form on the 2nd Shot more with it's petals less curved back, but it's striking either way............ You know I like the edge on Moon Shimmers. I'd be happy with that one.....................Maryl

I still like Porterhouse. Good form and color. Judy's Jewel also looks good in a clump. Is it bud top heavy?

No Tomorrow is a pretty thing. Glad you kept Return to Camelot. It’s got a lot of stuff going on with it. Gorgeous clump of Princess Diary and Judy’s Jewel is shining in that clump.

Mantis - I've had Princess Diary for four bloom seasons now. It is an evergreen, so I don't know how it would do farther north. It's never been the registered 30 inches tall here. I usually get scapes that are 26-28 inches tall. It multiplies OK. adding a couple of fans every year. It certainly has never had anything near the registered bud count here. Bud count is usually 12-13 per scape, maybe higher last year. I think it's rebloomed twice in the years I've had it.

Julia - Judy's Jewel is top budded, but I wouldn't call it heavy.

Kate - Return to Camelot is still on the possible cut list. It was looking brown by afternoon today when the high temp was 88.

Maryl - I'm glad you like Porterhouse. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I prefer the look in the first shot.

My picks today are Judy's Jewel (what a lovely pink) and Return to Camelot (love the dark color around the eye).

Nan - I'm glad to have finally gotten some increase on Judy's Jewel. Even though I applied Grub Gone to it in Fall and Spring, the new fans did not produce fans. If I can ever grubs to stop eating it, JJ might flourish. Return to Camelot has a tan base, so I won't hybridize with it, even though it has that dark purpe outlining the eye. It's still on the move-out list after turning brown yesterday in the afternoon.
