Anyone in Canada, minnesota or Alaska have any experience with a solarium? We are building one onto our house. A living room door will open into it and it will be on our wrap around deck. We are using all double paned glass and steel frame for the walls and probably a slanted glass roof. There is alot of info on solariums in southern parts of the country but almost nothing on far north efficiency. At the very least we could use it as a greenhouse to extend the growing season and protect from early and late frosts. Keeping it heated through the winter probably will be too expensive. Basically this is a big experiment.
