Grace and Grandeur is a nice light yellow; I really like it. That's saying a lot because I'm not into yellows or oranges.

Grace and Grandeur was typically the first one to bloom for me in NY. Mine was more whitish but could have a tint of yellow sometimes. Nice photo.

For some reason, I am more drawn to S. Melvin's Yellow, like Brad I am not much into yellow. Although come to think of it, I have added some in the last year.

Those look great, especailly for all day in this heat! Siloam/s Melvin's Yellow is my favorite of these. It may be smaller, but it is lovely.

I'm into yellow daylilies and Melvin's Yellow, although smaller you say, is a pretty color for early in your season. Almost all of my daylily pictures are taken in early to mid afternoon which in our current high heat can be challenging. 90 degrees and still holding color and substance for you is pretty good for a daylily............Maryl

It's good to see you're have some blooms now. All those look nice. We badly need rain here. It's sad to see what should be 6 inch flowers at 3.5. And that's what I have in the beds that are too far for my hose to reach.

In heat like this, a lot of moisture is needed to replace that lost. Thanks for the early shots. Next week is supposed to be much better--after a torrid weekend.
