Beautiful space. Simply getting different colored throw pillows and throw blanket would do a lot for not too much money. They don't even have to be bright colors - they could be a different muted pallet like blush, or dusty wine. I'd also look for those with a texture - chunky knit for example. Variety in texture is as important as color. Different colored lamp shades would add a nice pop too.

Can you please please reassure us some how that the TV is not going to crash down on a sleeping child? That set up freaks me out.

Kendrah-have you heard of TV's jumping off walls? The brackets used to secure them are quite hefty. I don't think I could get mine off it's bracket if I pulled with all my might.

I have only heard pediatric associations recommend nothing hanging above a crib at all. Wall decals and murals are great.

It’s a lovely room and your window treatment is so attractive. Bedding will be your answer and almost any color will work with the neutrals. So...think about your favorite color, but I think blue would be a good choice. I’d also reduce the number of pillows and create interest by layering bed differently.

I love your room: nice and tranquil. I dont think its boring at all! Maybe add some green plants for color.

less monochromatic room? by definition, monochromatic is one color. So try adding in another color or two. Simple. Don't be afraid to replace a pillow or two with something that is of a color.

and, yes, move the tv or move the crib, please!

LOL, Moore4. After reading only the title of the thread, I mentally replied, "Add a different color?" before I even opened it up to read the post. Personally, I would do a muted purple or pink (like ashes of roses), but since everything is neutral, you could do a lot of different colors. I think something relatively muted would look best to fit in with the serene neutrals.

I like your room! Bring some color with wall art above the headboard and with other decor (pillows, throw blanket...)
