wall paper paste removal

Hello, I am currently removing my wall paper paste. Is this normal ? I’m already one hour in and I feel like I’m not doing something correctly. I am using a wall steamer to loosen the paste and a scraper. Is there a better way to do this? I have dove soap and water in my steamer. Any advice is appreciated I have 3 more walls.
