I would probably just do artwork over the bed if you are worried about the wall being "too plain"

you could balance the window w a mirror or art of the same size

Are you planning to center the chandy with the bed? What is the bit of trim work left of the window? Is that a pony wall? Need to see that and the other walls and furniture you're working with to help you optimize the space the way you want.
