So...two summers ago, I was sitting next to some day lilies in a park near where I work. They had flowered and gone to seed.

They had been rather pretty. No one was around so- I ummm - 'liberated' the seed pod. I did this two or three times over the next week or so. I stuck the seeds in a pot, planted the pot so it was level with the soil, and left them for the winter. They did sprout the next year, and are happily growing this year too. I'm just wondering how long it will take for them to reach the size to bloom? And yes, I'm aware they may not come true from seed. (I'm not sure I remember what the original plant looked like!)
