They are gorgeous but why are they in Building a Home?

I think planning for the total look of one’s future home ,while building it ,could/ would / should include ideas on landscaping and specific plants used therein. It certainly can’t hurt. Beautiful, Debra.

Beautiful, Debra! I can't pick a single favorite here. Neon flamingo looks wonderful, but so does Mister Mayor and all the others, I always particularly enjoy UF forms . as you know, so I really enjoyed this lovely post. They don't look like they are missing rain. Are you watering them? Supposedly, more rain here the next two weeks and hopefully there also.

Folks in Building a Home - I have no idea how my daylily post ended up in your forum. I only meant for it to be in the Daylilies Forum. LOL

Kay - Seven of the clumps are in a bed that is UFs and seedlings, so I water it two to three times a week. I'm getting the feeling this is going to be a very dry summer.

We just found out we can't get a CO until our landscaping is finished, so from one in the Building a Home Forum, I appreciate the inspiration!

Neon Flamingo looks wonderful, and Confessions of a Hemaholic is beautiful too. I got Confessions this spring, it has just put out some scapes. Hopefully they will make it to bloom. Magnificent clump of All American Chief. I really like the color on the last seedling.

@Mark Bischak, Architect, most daylilies don't have much scent. But if you want another all-consuming activity, breeding hems is a good option. It will keep you even busier than Houzz! ;)

Nice post! Neon Flamingo and Dancing Flamingo X Neon Flamingo #3 are both very pretty. I also like Mr. Mayor.

Neon Flamingo, the color is luscious! The small clump Mr Mayor is eye catching, interesting light exposure. White Tooth X Skater just might be my favorite seedling for awhile.

From all your comments, it seems Neon Flamingo was the overall favorite of these, with All American Chief and Mister Mayor close behind.

Julia - It was cooler today, but I had to get ready for a doctor's appointment and a mammogram this morning, so I didn't have any time to make crosses until evening. I made three crosses tonight.

Brad - I'm glad you like that Flamingo seedling. It's done pretty well this season, despite the lack of rain.

Sherry and Nancy - I like the White Tooth seedling because it seems to be a late bloomer. White Tooth X Skater yielded six early bloomers, two mids, and this one late.

Black Panther is my choice, but Neon Flamingo is hard to beat.

Mantis - Do you have Black Panther? I'm going to moving it out either this fall or in the Spring. I'm downsizing to around 100 or fewer registered daylilies, and Black Panther doesn't fall in the top 100 for me. It's a great multiplier and can have high bud counts, but it always looks sort of evil to me. And I need it's space for mini clumps of my tall, sunfast dark purple UF that reblooms and that I totally love.
