It's not unusual that the pump on washers that have it as a separate electric motor mechanism (which all frontloaders do, and many toploaders nowadays) is noisy during operation. The pump may continue to run for a couple mins after spin to drain as much as possible of the water extracted from the clothes. Some machines may run the pump for the first few mins of spin, turn it off, then back on for a couple mins at the end. It operates according to the how the engineers programmed the control software, there's no way to change the behavior.

I recently bought this washing machine too. The pump is a little loud, but my old Bosch was even louder. This machine runs much smoother and quieter than my old bosch. When the bosch was spinning the whole house would jiggle and you could feel it upstairs over the laundry room.
