Nice daylilies today, Debra! Always hard to pick favorite, changes every time I look at them. Maybe Angel's Bow Down and Zuzu's Treasure. Of your seedlings I prefer Biltmore Style seedling. A lovely bicolor, and ML bloomer is good. The last one appeals too.

Seedling August Frost X Winter's Treasure is a lovely one and it reminds me of California Sugar Daddy.. Biltmore Style X Cool Hand Luke is a gorgeous bi-color. I love this one very much! (Palace Garden Beauty x Karelia) x Unk is very pretty and it sounds as if it is a good heght and later one are always welcome.

I was racking my brain the other day trying to remember the white daylily I grew and it was Winter Treasure. You got a nice seedling from the cross. Zu Zu's Treasure is striking in color. Angels Sing Softly is the perfect light color. Nice group.

Julia - I messed up on the name of the near white cross. Its parent is not Winter Treasure. It's Winter's Angel. Thanks for the comment on Zuzu's Treasure!

Kay - The near white seedling and Carolina Sugar Daddy have a common parent in August Frost. Selman used August Frost a lot in his crosses.

Kay and Nancy - Biltmore Style x Cool Hand Luke is surrrounded by taller daylilies. I need to get it in a better position to see if it will be taller and have more buds. It is always a rebloomer.

I really like Angels Sing Softly…..there doesnt seem to be as many nice lavenders as other colors. Zuzu’s Treasure looks wonderful, in my garden it is a much softer pink. i also really like the white seedling and the bitone Biltmore seedling, such striking contrast in colors.

Sherry - Zuzu's Treasure is usually a softer pink here. I took that photo a couple of days ago when temperatures were cooler. The cooler it is, the darker Zuzu's color. Thanks for your comments on Angels Sing Softly and the seedlings!

It took all month, but we finally got some good hard rain for June. It rained this afternoon for almost an hour, and my rain guage had just over 1.5 inches in it. Hooray! I didn't have to water tonight.

Angels Sing Softly is so pretty. Hoopla makes you want to turn around and look again. Lydia’s Regal Robe is such a dark color-I love mine. Zuzu’s Treasure has a pretty look. Biltmore Style seedling is striking and Palace Garden Beauty is still a pretty!

Seedling August Frost looks similar to my Gossard's Buzz Saw which is in bloom now. I like your take on it...........That really is some blue on Angels Sing Softly, if only it was that in real life for you. Still it's a pretty thing........I think my favorite is Lydia's Regal Robes. I was taking pics of my purples today and it was just so frustrating trying to get their "purpleness" (or what passes for purple here) on film. LRR looks great.....................Maryl

Debra: At least I know now what the white was that I had in NY even if your cross is something different. BTW, Rouen Cathedral has sent up a scape. Odd isn't it that these newly planted are sending up scapes. Thanks for sending.

Kate - I was so grateful for some good, soaking rain. I didn't go outside and dance in it, but I did do a little dance while I was inside watching it rain. I'm glad you liked Hoopla. I really like that one a lot, and the other purple lovers here never mention it.

Maryl - I used to grow Buzz Saw, and my seedling is much bigger - 7+ inch blooms on 34-inch scapes. It has a few teeth and tendrils but not as many teeth as Buzz Saw. Also Buzz Saw had a yellow cast here.

Miss Demeanor looks good! And the color of Sanford Intermezzo is fetching! The Biltmore Style seedling is a bitone or bicolor?

Mantis - The blooms on Miss Demeanor look good, but this is its worst season for bud count in many years. Sanford Intermezzo has been a good performer for me. The Biltmore Style seedling has wine red petals and sepal that are pink or white, depending on how hot it is. I would call it a bicolor.
