I assume that there is no hallway for you to access from the far bedroom. The only solution is to create a hallway within the accessible bedroom. If the rooms have closets, you may have some flexibility to use them.

Stand in the BR farthest from the main house... where could you move the existing door? Possibly no wear. If not, could the door become a hallway thru the other BR?

I think earlier cultures had different ideas of the need for completely personal space in a bedroom. People who were moving from one room shacks probably thought having a separate room was the height of luxury.

A lot of older homes have "non-private" sleeping areas such as shotgun homes. Many older tenement multifamily homes have "sleeping areas" that could only be accessed through another bedroom.

I don't know if it is technically a "legal" bedroom since my understanding is that a sleeping area requires a window for safety which is why basement bedrooms are often not legal sleep areas because there is no window large enough to escape from in the event of a fire.

However advertising such a room as a bedroom in terms of the count might be misleading in terms of people who want the standard separate bedrooms coming to view it and feeling it was a waste of time.

However depending on configuration it could be desirable to someone who sets it up as a nursery type sleeping area.
