My home is a 70 year old MCM ranch, while most is sheetrock now, my dining room is still paneling.


I want to hang a framed mirror on this wall that is painted paneling (the painters tape is where I’ve mapped out the corners of the mirror lol).

The mirror is large, maybe around 15 lbs or so and approximately 40” wide X 30” tall.

The back has 2 d-hooks only for hanging.
I want to make sure it’s secure and my wall remains intact. I’ve got a stud finder so I’ve located studs as well.

I’ve checked hardware stores for various types of hanging hardware like ReadyNail 30lb decor hangers but I guess I could also just use a screw to drill into the stud and hang that way….

Any particular screw for this?

In your experience, what’s the best way to accomplish this on this type of wall?
