I would be interested in any and all iris! That being said, my iris had a pathetic bloom year so this is not a dividing year for me. If there isn't enough interest in a swap this year but you are dividing your iris, please let me know if you have divisions to share and I will make a trip up that way. Don't ever throw away an rhizomes!

I don't have any to trade, but looking for some help for my small iris bed. Do you routinely fertilize to get big blooms like that? Mine have been blooming for about 10 years, but were really small this year. Thanks to garden swap for getting this bed started!

I don't fertilize mine at all, nor do I give them much water. They thrive on neglect.

One more thing, Ginny. I'm wondering if your iris might need to be divided.

Yes, need for division would cause smaller blooms. They should be divided every 3-5 years.

If it's been 10 years since you planted or last divided them, you definitely need to do it soon to start getting a good bloom!
