Campanula and Commelina. Can’t give precise species.

#1 is Campanula rapunculoides, a particularly aggressive and difficult-to-eradicate invasive.

#2 is Commelina (the east Asian C. communis I believe), which can also be an aggressive weed in the eastern half of the U.S. and in parts of Europe as well.

Hmmmm.... now you’ve got me wondering. You could well be correct. Afaik in Campanula rapunculoides all the flowers hang on the same side of the stem, unlike Adenophora liliifolia.

I personally still think it’s Campanula. i have a feeling that about half of the images online of Adenophora are just mislabeled campanula. Don’t Adenophora (almost?) always have compound racemes like this:

Well, my plants do have all flowers on the same side of the stem but they sure look like the ones in the first picture, , color and shape. They do not look like the flowers macanthros

Flowers on the same side indicate Campanula rapunculoides. Macranthos posted just one species of Adenophora to illustrate the compound racemes, which your plant does not have.

Thanks all! i guess what i have is the invasive campanula, not adenophora, which it was labeled. I shall try to get rid of it!

as to the communis.. ive been spraying mine with roundup for 22 years.. in one isolated bed.. and i just cant get rid of it.. no matter how hard i try ...

do not let it seed... as apparently the seed stays active.. for at lest.. wait for it.. 22 years ...

Ive been pulling communis out for years…it hitchhiked in in a nursery pot. Fortunately, it really hasn’t spread.
