Need help with closet ideas!!

Hello! I'm new here but I've recently been reorganizing the home and I needed your opinion on what I should do with this space!
It's between the front door and the garage door and so it kind of became our "mudroom" where we just throw all of our stuff onto.
I'm wondering if I should put some shelving or storage unit... Any ideas?
