1st rebloom from 2 scapes on Shark Infested Waters. I had this once, it died, and I replaced it last year. Got it from Northern lights as single fan, it has several now, 2 scapes bloomed, now reblooms. A little shorter than I like, about 20", but I am thinking the 1st one I had was taller

Fallen Leaves is a late bloomer

Orchid Corsage is doing really well this year

Flamboyant Diva is showy while it is in bloom, but not usually lots of buds so goes fast.

Boys Night Out has such a lot of buds. First year last year, it rebloomed late. I hope it does again.

Blue Throated Hummingbird, all my pictures seem blurry this morning. Another from Northern Lights last year that has done really well, and from a hybridizer I usually avoid. This is a rebllom scape, it had 2 but the other was on a fan that died during the heat. I still have 4 fans from that single fan I started with. This rebloom scape has 17 buds that I can count from where I am sitting, much better than early scapes.

Poly on Subtle Knife, it has done really well this year despite being pushed back from a clump of Black and Blue Salvia.

Pretty group Nancy. I like the pic of Boys Night Out. Great watermark on it. Blue Throated Hummingbird is another that I will have to go and look up. Don't be sad about the winding down. Just like people, the daylilies need a rest period. lol.

Since always like polys, I am attracted to Subtle Knife. Blue Throated Hummingbird is awfully pretty. I really like Shark Infested Waters too, Nice and bright. I am always ready when this time of just mainly rebloom comes because it is the time to make plan changes and decide what i need to add where and what might need to be moved. Also, there is a lot to do here before and after the heat of the day.

I'm curious about what you said about Blue Throated Hummingbird. Why would you avoid Gossard cultivars? Anyway, it's very pretty. Boys Night Out still looks great. How wonderful that it reblooms for you! Shark Infested Waters has a super toothy edge. I can see why you replaced it.

Sorry, Debra, you are right of course. I really need to double check plants parentage before spouting like I know what I am talking about. I was thinking about Subtle Knife, then got to thinking Lambertson introduced Hummer too. I'm bad. Thank you for correcting because Gossards I have seem to be doing well.

Julia, you are right, they do need to rest. But then I really notice all the weeds and that is really depressing.

Kay, I have been noting those that have low bud counts, which ones will be leaving. There are a few, a few I was planning on going may get a reprieve.

I looked up Blue Throated Hummingbird thinking it must be a Lambertson because of what you said, and was surprised to see it was a Gossard. Glad to know your Gossards are doing OK. I always feel sad when the blooms dwindle to only a few blooming.

Boys Night Out is my favorite of these.

I know what you mean about feeling sad. I do get a reprieve though. All those VTs I got from Celeste will begin in a couple of weeks and go til frost. I highly recommend them! They are super hardy [genetically close to species] and don't seem bothered by adverse weather of any kind. https://www.daylilygarden.com 

I have thought about the VTs, Brad, I just never found any that appealed to me enough. Even my latest bloomers don't really appeal to me. Final Frontier is just now barely sending up its 1st scapes. Large flowers, decent color, but I don't care for the for. Vigorous, tall sturdy scapes though, and lots of buds. Midsummer A Woman's Work started blooming June 5, it will probably bloom with continuous rebloom until October or frost hits. But it looks so close to a short ditch lily.

My first pick was Blue Throated Hummingbird and, as with Debra, thought you must mean Lambertson. I've never grown a Lambertson, but have read comments about his plants being particular. Gossard is a different matter. Anyway I like BTH, Shark Infested Waters, and the edge of Flamboyant Diva is great. I have mixed feelings about the end of daylily season in our triple digit heat. I'll still have to water, but I won't have to deadhead, so its a give and take situation..............Maryl

I think we are probably at peak now, which is late for us. Some of ours are bloomed out but Sandra Elizabeth (a very late one) hasn't even sent up scapes yet.

I really like Blue Throated Hummingbird and Subtle Knife. Shark Infested Waters is a nice toothy one.

Maybe you will have lots of rebloom, Nancy!! These are all pretty-I like Subtle Knife and Boys Night Out does have lots of buds. At least it will bloom for a while!

I too was very confused by the Gossard remark. Well, Blue-Throated Hummingbird seems to be a cultivar that grows well and is a sought-after plant. Polston plants do not seem to be well distributed. And Nan has noted that they tend to be short. Glad to see Shark Infested Waters. Anyone else have Polstons they like?

All of those are stunning and make me want to start placing orders. I will show restraint as I haven't even gotten the purchases from last year in the ground yet.
