We’re throwing around the idea of extending our porch and putting in a semi inground pool. I’m having such a hard time visualizing and deciding between pool shape, and if we should do a wooden deck or concrete. Can anyone offer advice and a huge plus if a mock up can be done!

Essentially the deck would be flush with the front side of the pool, and the pool would be exposed on the backend. We would also put up a temporary fence to block off pool access from the kids.
