Hoyas to trade?

Does anyone have any hoyas to trade for different plants that are not hoyas?

I had hoyas many years ago, but don't have any now.

I didn't either. It's not difficult to figure out.

I know there are a lot of trade groups on Facebook too. But I don't do FB.

I can help you out! I have quite a few hoya~common & not! The majority of my other plants are aroids, but that’s only a percentage thing since I’m obsessed w all plants & have plenty of others of every sort imaginable. Happy to send you some cuttings even if you don’t have much to trade as long as you pay shipping, however you prefer. I’m awful at checking messages, & actually haven’t been here in a few months, but I’ll try to remember to check & promise I’ll reply even if it’s not immediately

Thank you so much! I'd be happy to trade if I have plants that you'd like or pay to ship if I don't have anything you'd like.

Please don't recommend another site. I tried Reddit. Reddit is full of scammers. I started out trading on gardenweb back in 2008 or 2009 & so this is where I'd like to stay. Still looking for hoyas, please.

Just trying to help. There aren't nearly as many active hoya traders here as there were in 2008 and 2009. I wish there were.

I have been using Reddit for trades for three years. I haven't experienced any scammers on Reddit in the sub-reddit called Takeaplantleaveaplant. The moderators have a very rigorous review system. While the occasional bad trade does happen, the vast majority of trades are good trades there.

If you don't want to use Reddit that's fine, but that may help another person who reads this. I don't use Facebook at all so I can understand one's specific aversion to a site. But calling Reddit full of scammers isn't really fair either.

Well, I tried trading on reddit twice & got burned both times. As the saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I won’t be trying a third time.

I just made a trade on Reddit for two cuttings: chouke and Hoya pubicorolla ssp antracina. I traded a rooted NS05-055.

I've gifted a few cuttings here: aff burtonaie, multiflora, nummuraloides, linearis, and the original carnosa.

Is there anything specific you are looking for? I have a lot of hoyas most of which are pretty small. But i'm open to requests.

By the way, for anyone else who may dip into Reddit. I recommend you trade strictly through the trade group r/takeaplantleaveaplant. Before you make a trade, get pictures, agree to terms, and read the reviews of the user with whom you are trading. If you are new or they are new, the moderators can help. If a trade goes bad, the moderators will also help facilitate a good outcome. In quite a few cases, I have even seen other members step in to provide the trade item if the other party flakes out. It's a good group.
