Thank you. I did  buy white windows... they are on order and the roof is solid so I cannot afford to replace it.

 I have a reasonable budget but I do have to watch the dollars on this this is an investment. I plan to own it long term yet yeah it is right next door to me so I do want it to be nice. I definitely plan for landscaping.

Windows taking 6 weeks.   The only reason I can budget for windows is we  inStall ourselves.  Same with paint.

White windows will work. I would think about painting your garage doors and siding one color and your trim a different color.

I bought three more samples and mixed them in -

#1 i accessory beige (looks nearly white) - the other 2 are ......? and Perfect Greige (i have it written down).

We have that old Chicago brick. We went with a tan/barely sage color and are very happy. Sherwin Williams 2842 Roycroft Suede

Where are you in your thought process? What are you thinking about painting? Are you thinking one color or more than one color? Are you leaning towards white, gray, tan, or a color such as sage that might compliment your brick?

I love the idea of black frame windows and teal door. Paint the brick a pretty shade of dark blue.....the color now seems worn and dated.. the blue is fresh and modern.

When remodeling my MIL's house for sale 6 years ago, we chose a dark shade that was not quite as dark as the one you showed. Her brick and trim colors were near identical to yours but her roof was close to the color of her brick. The house looked so dated that we had to do something striking and more modern to appeal to buyers. The front door was changed out to a contemporary wood finished one.

Turns out the buyer painted our great looking exterior entirely in pale sky blue. <sigh>

I chose a color... not exciting, but the cedar stained columns and a new front door can add spice. We will spray another coat on Monday. Accessory Beige 7306 is the number I think. I will try to take a photo and post later today.

Ahhhh The big decision has been made. Can’t wait to see it! The new front door will make a huge difference.

LOVE @dreaminginwi suggestion Brick & Batten website. I also vote for the gray in your samples. But I understand the appeal of the darker color --maybe some accent color? B&B showed cedar posts (really cool looking ones) w white windows & a bit of the dark trim. Good luck! looking forward to seeing your changes!

I like the first and second in your 3 samples, so Accessible Beige sounds like a good choice. We used Repose Gray with our brick, but Accessible Beige would have worked, too.

Repose is nice - i considered that one. :)

OK --- finally able to post a pict - just one coat on - another on Monday. A few of you previously detested the rain gutter right over the front sidewalk -it was prominent and ugly - i agree - took it down.... the other gutter to the right of the porch will go back.

Looks really good! 👍🏻 From your photo it doesn’t look that different than Repose Gray. It will look great with white windows/trim.

Repose Gray is a bit cooler and was a good fit with our particular brick and roof colors.

Nice choice. Doesn’t look like you have painted the garage doors. Think it would be a good idea.

I would have painted the brick or whitewashed - too pricey to remove the brick for an investment property.

We did pt garage doors... lighting can fool you

Lightning does affect appearances. In a hallway that took a right turn, I had to paint each part a different shade of the color. The section that had much more light was painted a shade darker so that the entire hallway would look the same color.

Friday update: here's the latest on our color.  2 coats.  Yes garage door painted.   No I don't love the brick, but if you hate it, send me 4k and I'll change it. Doing the best I can within a budget. Windows arrive in a month. Thanks to all commentors!

I just installed new bronze exterior windows and I felt that I needed to go with a darker trim color. From a post on Pinterest I went with BM Clarksville Gray for bricks and BM Texas Leather or BM Stampede ( 2 names-same color. Front door I painted BM Iron Mountain, a soft black. I am very pleased.

Always amazed the difference a second coat makes. I like the brick. Some bricks are definitely not attractive, but yours is not one. You’ve got nice brick. What’s the story on the red door? Is it one you are considering? Are you considering that color? Is it someone’s suggestion?

If I remember correctly, you were considering a modern front door. Was checking out Midcentury Modern Front Doors in the the photos in Houzz. Lots of great options.

kaelakeys and wiseca9, thanks for your kind words and help. New front door has been ordered - will take a few more weeks. I had a good carpenter. My son and another helper did a good job prepping, masking and spraying. I was a decent supervisor I hope. I am pleased with the color and for the front door we will likely do a green or a dark charcoal or black front door. Some ext lights will be black. Oh - windows are due in a month. Landscaping in Sept (expanding the driveway.... path to sidewalk ... and planter box covering front porch width i think.

would have liked to see richer dark colors with the brick .. and you can never go wrong with black trims and white body and brick .. was thinking was someone else mention about putting a small porch type lean to roof above the window on the left side .. with some nice corbels and nice black metal roof .

wiseca9 Yes, I built them. My goal was to make them with slats, so I had to build a liner inside to keep the dirt from spilling through.

The flower boxes are beautifully done. Your hard work and pride of workmanship is paying off - your home has great street appeal!!
