I really like STAR LORD. Its performance sounds great. The white edge really makes it pop. I wonder how it would perform for me since it is an evergreen? I will have to contact Mike Derrow and get his opinion.

Star Lord has done better for Debra than for me, and I got mine before she got hers. It has been slow to establish and shorter than registered, though Mike's tape measure has proven erratic. It is indeed a striking flower. The seedling rebloom flowers have obviously benefited from the rain.

Princess Diary X Dearest Valentine #1 is lovely. Seedling X Pink Aloha is very pretty too. And, Carmen Renee looks great as do Star Lord and Tahlequah Flame.

All of the seedlings are beautiful, but the first one appeals to me the most--beautiful color, watermark, and edge. Tahlequah Flame is looking beautiful. I haven't seen ours bloom yet this year.

Sherry - I got Carmen Renee because Brad showed so many pretty pictures of it. I've been happy with its performance. It's a good multiplier.

Nan and Kay - Princess Diary X Dearest Valentine #1 is one I like a lot. I like the large watermark and the yellow edge makes the rosy red color pop. This is its first year to bloom, and I'm thrilled with the rebloom, especially since it is so covered up by taller seedlings in the bed. I hope it will have more buds next year.

Mantis and David - The one thing Star Lord has not done well is multiply, but I did set quite a bit of seed on it last year, and that may be why. It was a terrific pod setter last year when temps were cooler. I've had it for three years, and it's only three fans. It is the registered height for me (32 inches), and it has better branching here than registered (4-way). As I said, the best scape has 23 buds and the other two scapes have 19, which is fantastic in a year without rain in May and most of June. The other Derrow purple I acquire at the same time, Steven Scott Derrow, has multiplied must faster (6 fans) but it's not the registered height and won't set pods for me. It only has 12 buds per scape for me this year.

I just so like Star Lord every time I see it. In my pot culture, if a daylily doesn't spread rapidly it is a plus as long as it holds its own and doesn't dwindle away every year (which evergreens tend to do if they aren't happy with the climate). Rats on it being an Evergreen! ..........Maryl

I like them all but your first and third crosses looks good. Nice post. Glad to see your still getting blooms.

You really have a great late show! You know what I think of Carmen Renee! I also really like Buddy's Victoria Jade X Skin of My Teeth #2, great color and form. Star Lord and Princess Diary X Dearest Valentine #1 are also nice.

Brad and Julia - I was never expecting eyed and edged seedlings from Buddy's Vic. Jade X Skin of My Teeth, but I got two. I eliminated one of them last year, and was planning to eliminate this one - until it rebloomed. Now it's gotten a reprieve for at least another year.

Kate - Thanks for the comments! I do think Princess Diary X Dearest Valentine #1 is striking. I hope when I move it to better sun exposure it will be taller and have more buds.

The Princess Diary is my favorite of your seedlings. Carmen Renee is gorgeous, and I love Star Lord.
