I would start by making surea ll the lighting is LED 4000K then remove that backspalsh and replace with a simple white larger format subway tile in a white from the granite I see one pic with cabinets and no pulls and then one with pretty country looking pulls which is the right one.I would not have done cup pulls in that kitchen so maybe share a bit about your style since the lighting says contemporary but those pulls do not and also all the gray says contemporary too.The white sample you show is too cream at least on my monitor and wall color and backspalsh are alwaya the last 2 choices you make .

Patricia, thanks for commenting. This was a spec home that we did not get to choose any colors. its supposed to be a modern farmhouse but it looks like grandmas country kitchen to me. The walls were already pure white and we dont want to paint them. i did pick the pulls because they looked good in our last home but agree they dont look good in here. Here is my style and a kitchen i really like. My preferred style is very simple and timeless.

The easiest way to ensure your whites work together is to use the same white on the cabinets, walls, trim and doors in different sheens.

I assume this is SW Pure White, which is not really a pure white. It is a very pretty, very neutral off white with just the slightest creamy warmth.

Since you painted the trim, you already have the paint. Paint a few large samples and place them over a couple of upper and lower cabinets. I think it will be fine with the granite, but you have to look at it and see if you think it works for you and the best way to know for sure is by using large samples.

I am not sure that I would go with a white backsplash. It will be tough to get one that works with both the counter and the cabinet since the whites are not the same. Your pushing your luck.

I might go with a gray backsplash or even one that is dark like the iron ore island.

Another option would be to use some color. I know - color is frightening, color requires commitment.

With the white cabinets and walls, gray counters, introducing green or blue in the backsplash and on the island could make your kitchen stunning instead of stark. Go bold or go subtle, find the color that makes your heart sing and will bring you joy when you walk into the room.

what did you end up going with for your kitchen? i just got the same countertops and my cabinets are SW Pure White I painted them a few years ago
