Your Thoughts on Windows?

I've got this old (1901) Victorian cottage on a riverfront. My first major project: new windows. Thoughts on styling? I'm looking for some type of grillwork on the top sash, with the bottom sash full view. Here's some sketches of basic (kind of plain) ones: thoughts on curved or straight lines? Add diamonds to the pattern or not--and if so, where?

You are going to pay a premium for decorative grilles so I suggest being judicious about placement. Maybe pick a few on the front facade (top 3? bottom 2) for that element.

Grilles on top sash, none on bottom sash reasonably priced.

Looks like a nice spot. Good luck with your project.

Thank you! I was thinking just the front windows only--or the front top windows only. If they turn out to be outrageously expensive...

I don't have the source but I have heard of window grids that will snap in place from inside of window which would give you an affordable option....perhaps check Amazon.
