If I hadn't already grown Glowing Quasar I would after seeing your picture. You make it dazzle....Alan Watts is striking even though I know I probably won't get your color in my climate on any of the lavenders (btw it is Alan, not Allen-easy mistake to make)..........The nuances of color in Alone Again in your picture are out of this world. Beautiful............BTW...Do you still grow Crowning Achievment? I may have missed the post on it...............Maryl

Maryl, I still have Crowning Achievement in the garden, but it has been disappointing. A flower on the smaller side, with colors that often seem washed out. The name, to me, is a misnomer. Perhaps it has hybridizing potential.

Gorgeous clumps of blooms and a nice variety of colors to showcase.

The urgent care garden is very pretty, do you plant the phlox and cones as well and the photo of Websters Girls is beautiful because it shows an array of all your other lilies. Well done.

Yes, shawndee, the Urgent Care garden is tended by me. A lot of work, much of it volunteer. It has looked very good this year.

Love this post; lots of nice lavenders. Alone Again is not in the NGA database. First one I every looked for and had to go to the Daylily Society instead. Love it!

Also really like Echo Beach, Alan Watts, and Mens Wear. Great lavenders [I guess I said that already]. I also like Mrs. Peepers and Navajo Warrior.

I'm loving all the Hansons in this post, with Tina's Siren Song and Alone Again being my favorites. Do you ever get the echo patterning on Echo Beach? Bored Housewife looks well-budded. (I love the flower on that one, but hate the name.) Glowing Quasar is a beauty, and your photos of Thelma Douglas always impress me. Ruler of Nations is very pretty, and it looks dark purple in your photo. I see it's registered as magenta. Does it bloom both dark purple and magenta for you? Of course, I like all the Davissons. I enjoyed seeing Stone Beacon and slices of the Urgent Care garden.

Thelma Douglas often has a crowded scape. Haven't gotten a good picture yet of Ruler since its blooms are usually in full sun. It's a purplish magenta. Brad, Alone Again has a number of pics in the NGA database. I will pay closer attention to Echo Beach.

Mantis, I see what I was doing wrong in NGA. I found it now.

As far as Hanson names, Bored Housewife is really rather mild, along with Desperate Housewife and Feminist Bookstore. This year Kiss My Aura did quite well, but can't imagine that people find the name compelling.
