if it were mine i'd make a small walk in pantry where fridge freezer are shown. I'd skip the shallow stuff behind the stools. move the stove and fridge freezer up the wall then. you could insert a cabinet and counter lower right where there is nothing..landing or coffee station. good luck. with no table within you are eating meals at large island? so skip the stuff behind the stools....

The following links explain the mechanics behind good function--aisle widths, distance between appliances, work zones, etc. I'll quote the distance between appliances as a maximum of 9', center point to center point. I usually measure from the side of the sink where prep will take place, so although they are guidelines, they can be adjusted.

Thank you for the reassurance! We’ve since seen rhe updated plans with the prep sink and I think this will work well for our family. The comment about a second cleanup zone was a good point, we’re a larger family and I could see how that would be helpful. We are considering adding something between the fridge and the wall, maybe a small pullout or narrow pantry. Thank you all!

Great. You definitely have the length on that wall for a narrow pantry/broom closet, so no need to squish the fridge and risk a door clearance issue. As long as you move the range over, so you don’t have a too small work triangle in an otherwise huge kitchen. (If you were trying to center the range on the island, be assured that that is not a concern because there’s not even a straight-on view of it).
