Are you happy with the varying stone in the room? it's always difficult to match existing stone. I'd have gone with a different texture like t=ceramic or glass tile iside the shower.

That's quite an improvement! I'm impressed that you would buy a house with that steam shower in the first place, but maybe it wasn't so scary looking before it was half demolished!

I definitely struggled with going with a stone-look tile or something different. My partner really wanted to keep the earthy, stone vibe of the rest of the bathroom and so we tried to find something that wouldn't clash too bad with the slate roofing tiles on the walls or the slate floor (it's a very excentric house). It was a huge challenge because the walls are a warm, almost brown slate, and the floors have black, grey, and reddish tone slate. Overall, I think it turned out pretty well though and am happy with it.

And yep, the steam shower wasn't quite as scary when the doors and side panel were still on haha! But nothing worked on it and we knew we wanted to replace it. There's also another bathroom with a clawfoot tub that we've been able to use during the renovation (thankfully).

The continuation of stone and color match is great. The black at the top I wish would not stop the eye. Prefer it to blend and disappear.
