Mine is about 10 yrs old. I am in zone 4a it gets about 5 ft and has big showy dark purple flowers but they only last about 3 weeks. My blue angel gets a beautiful silvery periwinkle flower it gets alot more smaller flowers and last much longer

this is the president a few years ago. this year we had a big wind storm and im fighting climatis wilt and had to cut it down.

I know this post is a bit old, but our President gets 8 feet plus and is a prolific performer. Many blooms over at least a month. One of our favorite Clematis'.
