Digging for a sale is a lot of work, isn't it. We too are in the place where some have to go for us to add new ones.

Tigrillo Afternoon is a beautiful color. This one is new to me. I also like Ruffled Strawberry Parfait, which is one of our most important work horses in our breeding.

Looks like your church visit paid off. You were blessed with that pretty bloom of Tigrillo Afternoon. It's lovely. Any idea what your temperature was when you took that picture?..............Maryl

It was 82 degrees and overcast at that point. The sun was out in full strength between 11 and 1.

Tigrillo Afternoon and Ruffled Strawberry Parfait are both really pretty, my favorites. I got Yada Yada Yellow. I added it last year, it did not bloom til this year. The blooms were good, but short. The plant is not looking great. I expected much better from a plant that is technically 2nd year. But it has been a rough year. I also like Wide Eyed Willy, that flat open look always appeals to me.

EGGPLANT ECSTASY: I've had it for years and not hybridizing with it.

FAIREST LOVE

FORBIDDEN DESIRES: A Petit that does well for me, but there are better gold edged purples

GAVIN PETIT: Under performs. Did not even bloom this year

HEAVENLY ANGEL ICE: Single digit bud count on all scapes year after year

INDY ELECTRIFIED: I have other bicolors that I like more. Bloom is on the small side.

SCREEN PATTERN: I would love to have a patterned throat that did not canoe. More foliage than blooms

SULTRY SPANISH EYES: I love the bloom, but it does not reach its registered height and bud count is low

TECHNY ORE: It is tall, well branched, a lot of buds, but I am not a fan of the more orange side of melon.

VICTORIAN GARDEN OH HAPPY DAY: I have a seedling that is similar and taller. This one tends to bloom in the foliage.

ZEBE: Bonus plant last year and I don't want to give up a spot in the garden for a plant that I am not going to hybridize with.

RING THE BELLS OF HEAVEN: When it is great it is great. Tends to be splotchy. More so than RED FRIDAY.

Surprised to hear about Gavin Petit. It performs well here and is a distinctive color. Ring the Bells of Heaven has been quite clean here the last few years. God knows what accounts for different years.
