It might not be what you were expecting, but since I'm looking at this for the first time - It looks fine to me.

It will look great once you have the faucets and mirrors installed. Leave the larger pulls in place. Hang in there!

I agree wait until everything else is in. I think the pulls look proportionate and I wouldn’t change them to be smaller. Are you doing black faucets? What about the mirrors?

Yes, we purchased black faucets and the plan for the mirror is one big piece that reaches the ceiling with cut outs for the sconces. I do need to decide whether I want the mirror framed in black metal, though, I'm leaning to frameless at the moment.

While not the vision in your head, this is a very lovely and balanced look. Be sure to use modern looking accessories.

Smaller pulls would look dinky on the larger drawers.

I'm sorry it's not what you hoped for, that's always disappointing. But it really does look great. It looks very modern and fresh, with the wood grain adding helpful warmth to the room. Not at all cottage.

Waht were you expecting? I think what yoou have is perfect and with no info as to what yu wanted how can we tell. I see nothing cottage in there at all.

If you want, tell how large the sconces are, and how high from the floor.

It is a great looking vanity & I like it very much. Except the black pulls look harsh. I would change out for a silver metal. And I would not use a black faucet. The black jumps out at you and demands attention instead of being a team player. Too much contrast.

These are some of my inspiration photos that I got design ideas from. I was hoping to find a less textured, less grainy wood laminate but had trouble finding exactly what I wanted. My shower system and faucets are black and we are not changing them to silver.  I like the graphic, high contrast look.

Would it be better to go with Satin Nickel or chrome drawer pulls? I kept everything black so that it all goes together. If I add silver pulls, do I need something silver too?

I’d call it a happy accident except it sounds like you made deliberate (gorgeous) choices so not an accident at all. I think it’s lovely and modern (not at all cottage). I also love the pulls and wouldn’t go any smaller. I hope you come around and pat yourself on the back for designing a fabulous bath!

Thank you Melanie.  I think it's the photos that throw me off. In person, the vanity is a warm ash color,  but in photos it looks much more yellow and much more contrast is seen in the wood grain. Thank you for your kind words.

I think this all looks amazing. Don't let yourself fret until everything is back in place. You might like it better once it's completely done. Even then, if you still feel uneasy, live with it for a while. You can always change the pulls later.

I had SO many projects where it didn't look like how I imagined and freaked out halfway through. Most of the time I wound up loving it after it was done and styled.
