My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    The freestanding (front) columns are 8"x8", the engaged (at the house) columns are 5"x8", all columns ar 7'-4" tall.

    The taller the columns are the wider they need to be to keep the proportions correct.

    The beam is also 8" wide. beam and columns should align.
