I’m sure I’ll be the only one, but I love this (most of it).

It reminds me so much of an aunt’s house in Dallas and I loved staying there as a kid, so there’s a nostalgia factor, too. But still.

I especially love all the indoor shutters, the dining room built-ins, a lot of the furniture, the sunroom (swoon), the exterior and property. Beautiful.

I don’t love the kitchen or white painted brick inside.

I’m very drawn to this as a whole. It feels loved. Is it a good area?

Here's the direct link. In my neighborhood! Love it. Busy street/intersection.

Quite the time capsule. The exterior looks like my parents house, built around 1960. The lot looks huge! its in a pretty nice area but a very busy street.

I did not see a link in sushipup's post, but here's a link to the Coldwell Banker listing. The OP link took me nowhere, but then I block facebook on this browser.

Somebody likes brown, which is my least favorite color. I like the white painted brick, but then I do not like natural brick in interiors, except for the floor.

I don't understand the shutters in photo #7. Why are some of the sections solid?

jinx, I totally get the nostalgia.

    I changed my link.

Yeah, I forgot the link. Doh! We went out to lunch and I detoured to drive past the house. It's closer to the street than pictures show, and the turn lane onto Paper Mill is right there. Busy intersection, as I said, and driveway will be blocked by cars at busiest times of day. That's probably why the shutters.

    I like the bathroom towels.

I changed my link, I had copied and pasted one from it being sent.

Yeah, intersection of two 3 lane roads with yellow lines and stoplights. 2-3 intersections from an expressway which means people probably treat the street as an on-ramp. I live 1.4 miles from an expressway and people drive down the most direct street to it as if they are already on it.

A couple of easy fixes for me would be to remove the wallpaper and the crown moulding that also walks down the walls (?) but the traffic would be a non-starter.

    I love the place!

    Lot’s of potential!

The wall detail is a reference to post and beam construction or Tudor Revival decor: the angled pieces are knee-braces.

It's nice. The kitchen is very happy.

3katz (and it's so nice to see the 3 again), I like cats too but the towels are a little creepy to me, they remind me of the Disney animation where the eyes are blinking on the dark spooky forest.

I think it has some lovely features and a ton of potential.

I love the house and agree about its potential. I had to go back to check out the towels and laughed when I saw them. Agree, kinda creepy.

I think the price probably reflects the difficult location, with no street parking for at least a block. I suppose if you want to entertain, you can tell people to park in the township admin/library buildings' parking lots, a block away. So not the right house for entertaining.

That's not a post and beam that I've ever seen - but tudor I can see that influence except that it isn't a tudor house.

It's OK. I like the large fenced yard. The dog friendly tile floors. Mature landscaping. Post & beam is high style right now in Colorado, but with high ceilings.

My niece's 1960s house on Long Island has fake post and beam / Tudor details in the walkout basement and nowhere else. Older houses were not necessarily any more stylistically consistent than current houses when it came to interiors.

Just drove by and saw a "Sold" sign. Not "pending" or "under contract" but sold. It's a nice house.
