Nice looking plant, great color. i just picked up a coelestis a few weeks ago but its tiny. Not going to flower for a few years

Smart choice. I bought four blooming size rhynco/prra. From Krull last spring. This is the only one that has survived, only because it was the youngest with a small root system. I potted all of them up (can't see myself watering them everyday).The large prra. Rapeepath died of a sudden bacterial infection soon after while still developing a spike, the pink and blue coelestis had to be beheaded to save from stem rot that appeared out of nowhere. It's a coin toss if they will survive and if they do they might take longer to bloom than if I got seedlings...

Looks happy. Give broader t a couple of years or three and it will be blooming away. Mine bloomed in August last before it got stem rot (in chunky lava rock!).

Getgoing, so frustrating. I feel your pain. I once had three and now none because of rot. 15 fragrant Phals and all stem rot even in the most coarse mixes.

Thanks, Mike. I think the issue may be latent infection at the source, either the grower and/or the seller. They are diligent with fungicide etc. routines in their green house, I never use anything beyond hydrogen peroxide and cinnamon. I do have copper fungicide but frankly I am yet to figure out how to use it. I am too lazy to have preventative routine..I think getting seedlings which haven't had a chance to catch whatever is going on in the grower greenhouse or finding a better seller are the safer bets. I have never had a fragrant phal, they are on my wishlist.
