I have a Hunter sprinkler system. I've seen options to replace sprinkler heads with drip heads. My issue is that I want drip on my gardens which edge the house, but my zones are set up to water the lawn. So, the typical zone has 4 heads at the corners of a square of lawn. I have garden along one edge of the lawn, so would like to replace 2 of 4 spray heads with drip heads.

To create new drip zones would be a huge amount of digging.

Has anyone done this? Is it okay to do or not advisable?
