Which Roman shade: Morris or windowpane?

My room isnt complete yet with decorating and still waiting on a couple furniture items. since houzz only allows so many pics at once, i will show the room at first, furniture that will be in room that is still backordered, and then the shades

i am considering. I may change out some of the pillows on daybed—just ones that were handy :) also havent ordered a side table for that spot but plan to. May turn the wall with seascapes into gallery wall but i collect art and just wait until i find the right pieces that speak to me. Use a lot of blue because both my husband and i agree on it :) but then also like a little terra cotta/rust — whatever we are calling it these days :) my style is a little English cottage/rustic with a touch of glam -i prefer traditional but husband like modern so we mix. and i guess there is a name for my style nowadays ”grandmillenial” or at least that is what i have been called.

Such a pretty room! What you currently have is lovely. With that I'd choose shade #1, but with what you've ordered, I may go with shade #2. Will the blue upholstered bed go in front of the window?

Thank you!! Yes it will be in front of window. I live in a Tudor with all the crazy ceilings so it was the best spot because my husband has to have a TV in room :)

While I like shade #1, it would annoy me to no end that the pattern isn't centered.

Thx clt3! Good catch that I probably would have noticed later but hadn’t noticed yet. They will be custom made so I can request for it to be centered 😊

What a beautiful room, love your style!

My vote is the first one, it’s lovely and fits your room. The second one looks like a dish towel to me.

Too funny Jinx and thank you!! I clearly didn’t love the windowpane but was trying to not bring in too many “feminine” elements for my husband. You also helped me with my cafe curtains in the bathroom. What’s so funny too is that if just threw those up there, he would probably never notice other than we haven’t had anything since we just built this area (but if I changed some in a different space he might notice until 2 years later) I probably just need to do what I want since I am the one tasked with doing it lol. But like with my kids, I try not to be too bossy and let them make some decisions lol. Sometimes I need a second opinion to make sure that what I chose is in fact ok 😀

Also thank you all for answering the question posted lol. Of course sometimes it can be helpful to get advice on other things but I am really just wanting a simple 1 or 2 because we really need window coverings in here 😳 and I think I was struggling because I didn’t really “love” the window pane.

Nice start and plan. The daybed looks a bit overloaded and I don't think you could sit or stretch out there without throwing most of the pillows on the floor. Have you considered just one long roll pillow across the back and a couple of patterned pillows for interest? I think when sitting there one would gravitate toward one of the arms, and a roll pillow would be quicker to remove if you wanted to lie on it, than a number of loose pillows.

Thanks Deco! Yes, it is lol. I will look into those and maybe also body pillows — that’s what I have on the bed and love it (never had one before except the crazy shaped ones for pregnancy 😉). Since I have the big decision made, should I also put a rug there with the daybed? I was thinking sisal/jute —something less patterned because I am not good mixing at Persians and I don’t think that’s what needed there anyways since the window covering will be a pattern and the pillows.

Thx for the link!! I love flokatis and got one for my son’s room, but it probably isn’t as nice. He is 3– requested spider man and red, which is his favorite color so this is what we have so far. We are still working on his closet and going to paint it red (a muddier red — FB eating room red). I could not paint a whole room red esp at age 3 but wanted him to feel like he was listened to but could still easily be changed out. Should have posted on here before buying this one, but he is also 3 so probably doesn’t need the nicest flokati lol. My daughter is so jealous of the texture and softness of this rug and complained to me for several days that I did not get her one.
