bulging walls and nail pops

Hi,

I moved into my house a little less than year in NJ. When I first moved in during the winter, I did not notice bulging walls and nail pops. A couple months ago, I began noticing them throughout the house. My house was built in 1996. Is this a serious problem I need to address soon or just a cosmetic fix I can deal with later? Thanks!

How can you tell it’s just cosmetics and nothing else? I read that it can be a foundation issue but I don’t see any literal horizontal cracks anywhere. I do see horizontal bump lines like in the photos

Don't stress. It's a cosmetic problem shared by 50 million other homeowners.

I have the same issue in a house built at t the same time in the same state. ive been here 15 years and all is well. its just a bit of sloppy workmanship

I agree, its settling, and a bit of sloppy workmanship, but, Anna, if you are that worried, then get a contractor in to take a look. You will get some peace of mind that way.
